Visit this charming Dutch town, 52 miles from Galena (about an hour), offering scenic parks, a 90-foot-tall Dutch windmill and the Heritage Canyon. This year marks Fulton’s 150th anniversary with the Fall Festival and it’s festivities of square dancers, live music, a scavenger hunt, 2 mile run/walk, arts & craft show, windmill tours and more. Consider staying in Galena if you prefer a busier downtown with a larger assortment of accommodations, but don’s miss out on the picturesque scenery of the surrounding areas.
